I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Lam Research in Jun 2011
Interview
I've had experiences with interviewing with Lam and this one follows past experience. I was called by the recruiter and asked if I would like to interview for the job I applied for - I said of course. 47 days went by and I had a pleasant enough conversation with the hiring manager who said at the end that she would have the recruiter arrange to get me out there to talk to other people. Six weeks have gone by an no call. This also happened earlier in the year when I applied for a different job - recruiter calls, asks if you are interested and in the end, no call backs. My sense here is they want to hire local but advertise and contact people nationally - its a bit disingenuous - especially when they indicate they want you to come out and interview with others and then they never call.
