The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lam Research (Fremont, CA)
Interview
HR person contacted me via email. Had 1 HR phone interview (15-20 mins) and then 1 (30-40 mins) manager phone interview. After I was invited for an on-site interview.
The company was looking to hire several people and we all had the same process. On the first day a networking session with the managers and other candidates(very informal) in which we were able to ask a lot of questions regarding positions. Managers will talk about the big picture of the work. The second day there were 2 rounds of interviews with different managers (30 min) and a technical talk (20-25 mins with questions). They are trying to see how you solve problems.
Candidates also had a lab tour. That grounded the job for me. It gave you an idea of the everyday aspect of the job.
3 panel interviews with group members, managers, and senior directors. The overall environment is friendly. Asked some behavioral questions and had casual chattings. The senior manager sometimes may focus more on the background and decided if you fit in this position.
