I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance (Plano, TX) in Jul 2016
Interview
I initially applied online and was contacted by a recruiter via email to invite me to a upcoming "invite only" Open House. The Open House began with applicants singing in and then being given a 20 minute presentation on the company and the benefits of working there. The management team divided applicants and began interviewing which lasted approximately 25-30 minutes. At the end of the interview if they are still interested they will ask you to come in for a personality interview. I was invited back and spent more than 30 minutes being interviewed by one member of the management team. Then I was asked if I had more time to talk to someone about benefits and to answer any questions I might have. They really enjoy thoughtful questions being asked by applicants. The second interviewer went through another battery of questions then asked if I had any. At the end of this interview she was not very descriptive in telling me what to expect or what the next steps were.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Liberty Mutual Insurance in Feb 2026
Interview
Interviews were fine. Problem came after when senior manager said 1-2 weeks. 6 weeks went by and she said a recruiter would be in touch. No one ever reached out to me. I got the automated “feedback survey” form in my email as a decision. Disappointing.

HR made a very quick call, it only lasted a few minutes. They mainly asked about my previous experience and went through a few basic checklist questions, like confirming my eligibility and availability. It felt more like a preliminary screening rather than a full interview.
