I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl in May 2016
Interview
Applied Online. 10 min telephone interview, standard interview questions. Was told I would hear back in 5 days, but didn't hear back for 2 weeks. Had a face to face interview at the store with area and store managers. Involved a presentation and discussion about the company with the other interviewees, and then a one-on-one with the managers. Again, they were delayed in getting back to me, but eventually received a job offer.

Question 1
What challenges have you overcome at work?
Why should Lidl hire you?
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
