Called me weeks after I applied to schedule an interview (within days) with hiring manager. I interviewed with the director of the department. I saw where I would be sitting and met two other employees with which I would have connections with. I was told by the director she needs someone asap but still had internal candidates to interview. One of my references told me that they contacted her the same day I interviewed. I then called a little over one week later to ask H.R. ask about the status. I was told that I was still in the running and they hoped a decision would be made early the following week. The following week I did not hear anything until a rejection e-mail on a Friday. So, the whole process took approximately 3 weeks.
