I applied online. I interviewed at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes (Dallas, TX) in May 2015
Interview
The interview is done in two parts; a screening, then an interview. I applied for the seasonal clinician position and was invited for a screening. They had a spelling test made up of 20 real words and 5 non words, as well as a Watson Glaser critical thinking test. After the test we were sent home and told we would be notified the next day. I left the screening extremely confident with my assessment and heard nothing back the next day. I didn't hear back from them for almost a week letting me know I did not receive the position. I didn't even get an interview. I have a degree in speech pathology and am well qualified and experienced to work in this setting. I feel as though my young age was the limitation. Overall, I feel the company screens poorly for their clinicians and miss quite a few good ones along the way.
For the spelling test some of the words were: (these will most likely be the words asked since it is on a recording and many others claim their assessment never changes. Ever.)
camouflage
commiserate
pusillanimous
brief
medieval
receive
