I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn
Interview
Standard process - Phone screenings and then onsite. The recruiter was super nice. My experience with Onsite interview was negative. Reasons :
1. there were 4 interviews each lasting 30 minute. With 10 minutes gone in introductions, it left very little time for a meaningful conversation. One outcome of this surfaced in my first interview where the interviewer kept rushing towards understanding all areas of product development.
2. This comment should reflect only on the interviewer - Please let the person taking the interview talk and explain the answers. The interviewer kept jumping in with his own ideas and appeared to be interested in showing his own product management craft. It was very obnoxious, especially since there was hardly any time in the first place.
3. The said interviewer was on video conference from 30 miles away. Cmon guys, you flew me in from a different city only to have a video interview!
OK, nothing to brag about, clear discussion of the past experience, asking about how did you navigate difficulties , what is the starter to build networking and what are the tool so product management
I had 5 rounds of 45 min interviews. Not super memorable very straightforward product interview case questions. People were nice, but no behavioral. HM seemed toxic and wanted someone to commit whole life to role.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at LinkedIn (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Made it to final rounds with VP. Didn’t get offer. Recruiter followed up, interviewed for another role and received offer after a few days. Process was pretty standard with product strategy questions. You do interview with a specific area so anticipate questions related to the area as well.
