I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn in Jun 2019
Interview
I was an employee referral. Had an initial phone screen that went well, and the next step was to prepare a 5-10 slide presentation on a public data set. I spent about 6 hours on the deck and submitted the presentation to the recruiter.
I had no response for two weeks. After following up a second time I received an automated email saying I was rejected. For a company that prides itself on employee development, I found this to be frustrating that I could not receive any feedback after investing this time on this project.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn (Dublin, Dublin) in Sep 2025
Interview
First call with RH.
Second call with Hiring manager, mostly behavioural questions, but kindly wanted to know more about me, my experience and my motivations.
Then they sent me an exercise: a spreadsheet to analyse, using the findings based on this data to make an insightful presentation. Present it in front of some people to rate your presentation skills, plus behavioural questions.
At the end, on a Friday night, I received an email with the subject "next steps" and saying to call HR. Very disappointed to make the call to hear that there are no next steps and the process is over because they found a better candidates. Please use the subject of your email wisely!
