Recruited through LinkedIn for various roles. Recruiter failed to tell me the first interview would be a case study (btw case study was far from structured) and then said the hiring manager had no real feedback when they didn't want to move me forward. The recruiter wanted to still connect me with other roles as my background was a great fit, and then never followed up despite my various emails. Another recruiter reached out and got me in touch with a hiring manager within another part of the organization, had a great initial conversation then an automated rejection email with no feedback. I know I interview well and I know my background was nearly a perfect fit for these roles, but since I have no feedback on why I was not selected, I can't provide any advice to candidates. I can provide advice to LinkedIn HR, which is improve your candidate experience by having recruiters who prep their candidates, follow up, are responsive, and transparent about the process, steps, and feedback. I am really disappointed as I was excited about the opportunity but after this experience, I will no longer be pursuing roles within the organization, whether they try to recruit me again or not.
