I recently had the misfortune of interviewing with Ticketmaster for an entry-level position, and I must say, it was an exhausting and underwhelming experience.
The interview process consisted of not one, not two, but FOUR separate interviews, each with a different team member. While I understand the importance of thoroughness, this felt excessive and unnecessary for an entry-level role. However, it makes me wonder if there was any underlying prejudice in this process, but I'll probably never get an answer for that.
To add insult to injury, I was also required to complete TWO assignments, which took up a significant amount of my time and energy. I felt like I was being asked to prove myself over and over again, without any clear indication of what the company was looking for.
The interviews themselves were unremarkable, with generic questions that didn't delve deeper into my skills or experiences. The interviewers seemed unprepared, and the conversations felt more like box-checking exercises than genuine discussions.
Throughout the process, I was left feeling frustrated, undervalued, and unsure of what the company was looking for in a candidate. The lack of transparency and communication was staggering.
Overall, my experience with Ticketmaster's hiring process was disappointing, overwhelming, and downright absurd. Four interviews and two assignments for an entry-level job is excessive and unfair to candidates.
