I had a connection who called to request my resume b/c he knew I was looking for a new job. He shared with the hiring manager, who called within a couple days. I was then contacted to fly in for an in-person interview with three team members. I received a writing test as the final step. The hiring manager called me after I didn't get the job to explain that they really liked me and that I just wasn't the right level. She gave detailed feedback on my cover letter and asked if she could share my resume w/ another office. Very rare for someone to personally call, great people at Lockheed!
