typical behavioral interview. "Tell me about a time when..." In this particular case it was a phone interview only. Lockheed expects answers in a STAR format (Situation, Task, Action, Result). Every interviewer uses a matrix form to ask the same questions to every candidate and plug answers into the STAR table.

Lockheed Martin is very structured in it's interview process. They follow the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result— This is a structured technique for answering behavioral interview questions by providing specific, concise examples of past behavior. It helps candidates demonstrate competence in key areas like problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork by detailing the context, objective, steps taken, and outcomes. DO NOT answer questions in "generality." This organization is looking for specifics examples related to the questions asked.

Interview
I was flown out to the Fort Worth headquarters and interviewed with a hiring manager. Hotel, rental car, and airfare were all paid for, as well as per diem for food.

Interview
1st Interview-90min phone interview with supervisor. Quite thorough as they had previously been in the position being filled.
2nd Interview-30min followup "2nd opinion" phone interview with someone from a different department.
3rd Interview-In Person: Brought out to location for 4hr interview. 1hr for a tour of the facility, 1hr panel interview with supervisor and people from different departments (typical experience/STAR questions), 1hr lunch with the position's current counterpart, 30min with the rest of the position's counterparts, and 30min with the department head.
Overall a very thorough and exacting interview process. Never heard back even months later after multiple followups.
