Recruiter reached out to me because my name is on a job board. Totally automated scheduling process on the front end.
The recruiter looked through a menu of jobs available based on my location and interests. We agreed that I would apply to that one. Before the scheduled interview, another team calls me for a position in a location not on my preferred list. We have an interview and that team rejects me the day I'm scheduled to have my original interview. That's a bummy start.
Finally, the actual interview. The interview was on a date & time that two people were supposed to be on the call, but one could not make it because he was out of office that week. Seemed rather odd to not postpone it, no one was in a rush and he was supposed to be the technical guy on the call.
The PM and I spoke for 45 mins, not a bad conversation. I answer her questions. We end it with "you seem a bit more junior than I expected. But we need to have a second conversation with the research scientist who could not make it." We could have done this another day lady, what was the rush?
Anyways, a few days later, I get no-reply rejection letter. What a waste of time from everyone involved.
TL;DR -> LH recruited me just to reject me. Twice.
