Interview
I applied in Jan 2021 via email and received an interview in Feb 2021. My interview process took about two weeks. The first interview was 30 minutes with two team members. The second was an hour and a half split into three 30 minute panels with two team members each.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Locus Biosciences (Morrisville, NC) in Sep 2019
Interview
Three rounds of interviews: phone interview, in-person with team, and final in-person with CEO and CSO. The first in-person interview included a "skills test." The final in-person with the CEO included a brain teaser.
In my interview with the CSO, he repeatedly warned me about high burn-out levels in the company. He said that they had 20% turn-over in the last year, and then said, "I don't want to say that those people had a victim mentality, but..." That was a very big red flag for me and ultimately why I turned the job offer down.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Have you ever been burned-out at work? How did you handle it?
Brain teaser: You have nine coins that are identical in weight except for one which is lighter than the others. The difference is perceptible by weighing them on a scale, and only the coins themselves may be weighed. How can you identify the lighter coin in the least amount of weighings?
