I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at LogRocket (Cambridge, MA) in Nov 2019
Interview
4 rounds of interview.
Met people in charge of front end, backend and product. For the 6 people I met half of them were really bad at what they do and doesn’t look like they knew what they were asking.
They want someone who knows everything about frontend, backend and product design as well as UI. But when they asked me to design a new app and I asked what features they want and what the expected requests per second and peak requests should be, they were like “how would I know”.
They kept telling me how much money they raised and how great the company will be.
Most people working there are very unfriendly. (Or they were just too wired in to ignore people say hi to them)
I wouldn’t recommend this company if you have other options.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Design an app that can interact with twitter. What issue do you expect it will have? (I’m as confused as you are)
Had one behavioral interview to discuss the role. Decide if fit for team and company was correct. Asked about experience in current position and past projects and discussed what the company did.
General questioning on resume, past projects and experience. Asked experience in languages and softwares. Then asked a few questions about how to approach simple coding questions. Was a nice conversation that allowed for comfortability.
Interviewers were unfriendly and fresh out of college. Little to no feedback and had to chase a follow-up from the recruiter. Too many hands in the proverbial pot.
Office had nice amenities but was very small and squished.
