I had done a video interview on an app. You have to record yourself answering the questions. You only have one attempt to record yourself. It felt a little high pressure. I got called in for an in person interview a few weeks after submitting the video interview. I got an email just a few hours after leaving the office that I did not get the position. I definitely believe I was interviewed to fill a quota of external candidates. So be aware that this is something they may practice as a formality. Still good interview practice but not the most ethical practice.
