I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2016
Interview
The entire process was very canned and unprofessional. A meeting was held with the district manager and store manager. She (store manager) was slovenly dressed, unkempt, and very unprofessional looking. The questions were canned and trite. They were not interested in the slightest in the design background which was really the core of experience for the position. After 4 of months waiting and after the interview I really wasnt interested in being associated with a company like Lowes.

Question 1
If the customer was presented the total amount for the project and they decided it was too expensive and backed out, what would you do to save the sale?
Was all about who you knew in the company to get the position. There was a lot of external candidates considered before internals. Was not a very structured interview process, they already knew who they wanted.

I applied online. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Charleston, SC) in Apr 2017
Interview
I applied online as an internal candidate, several days after I applied I received and email to set up a pre interview phone conversation. The call can last up to 30 minutes however since I am a cabinet specialist and know the position and I have worked for Lowes for nearly 20 years, the conversation was short. Lasting only about 7 minutes with the reviewer asking if I had any questions.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Oswego, NY) in Mar 2017
