I applied online through the Lowe's career website passed the assessment test. The very next day I received a phone call from the Human Resource Manager from the Lowe's store location I applied to. I was asked what time would I be willing to set up an interview for the next business day. I arrived ten minutes early next day to my interview. First part of the interview process was with the HR Manager. HR Manager explained to me she would be asking me six different type of questions and that I would be scored on each question on a scale from 1-5 with 5 being the best. She also stated out of the two candidate's and myself, whoever received the highest score would be best suited for the position and hired. Which I thought was somewhat reasonable!! I passed the first part of the process. Next I was told to be seated in the next office over which was the Store Managers office. HR Manager called the Store Manager from her store radio as I waited patiently in the next office the Store Manager arrived within five minutes. I greeted him in a polite, respectful manner and shook his hand firmly. He sat in his chair and smiled he was very warm welcoming. He explained part two of the initial interviewing process which was the same as part one asking me only six questions and then scoring each answer, I could see the paper as he wrote down his notes. My whole interview process lasted about an hour or more. I was told from the Store Manager that they would be making a decision by the next week. If I was not hired that I would be sent an email from Lowes HR. If I was hired they would then proceed to contact me via telephone to further my hiring process. As I was leaving the office, I had overheard the Store Manager tell the HR Manager, " I really like her". I was so happy to hear him say that. I felt that I had made a very professional, energetic and strong first impression with him.
