I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Charlottesville, VA) in Jan 2015
Interview
One interview with the HR Manager (35min) of the store, second interview with the store manager (20min). During the first interview it was dropped that they have to interview 3 candidates for every position. Also, it was mentioned that Lowe's pays $14-$15 for this position. Turns out that is less than half of average compensation for this role and seemed not appropriate for the job description that was presented. The message was clear at that point that I was just as a space filler and they already had someone in mind. Both interviewers just went through standardized interview question templates (Tell me about a time when..). It appeared rather unpersonal, no flexibility or fluid conversation. They were fast in their decision though and called to let me know, that was a clear plus.
