I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Lake Wales, FL) in Jan 2014
Interview
Standard proforma questions to ascertain compatibility between the company and the individual. I was interviewed by both the Store Manager and the District Manager for all Project Specialists, due to the nature of the position I don't believe this was standard.

Describe a time when you were not able to meet a customer's expectations due to uncontrollable elements, and how did you handle it?
Was all about who you knew in the company to get the position. There was a lot of external candidates considered before internals. Was not a very structured interview process, they already knew who they wanted.

I applied online as an internal candidate, several days after I applied I received and email to set up a pre interview phone conversation. The call can last up to 30 minutes however since I am a cabinet specialist and know the position and I have worked for Lowes for nearly 20 years, the conversation was short. Lasting only about 7 minutes with the reviewer asking if I had any questions.
