I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Los Angeles, CA) in Jun 2023
Interview
I applied online for a general sales position (the only position I could apply for at that location) and they rescheduled my interview twice before I finally got to be interviewed. I showed up a few minutes early and they took me to the back room where a woman handed me a form to fill out and then told me to take a seat and wait for the interviewer. While I was waiting, a Lowe's employee walked into the back room, saw me sitting there, then went into the office and asked the woman if they were hiring. She said not that she knew of. That and the fact that my interview had already been rescheduled twice tipped me off that Lowe's is one of those places that collects applications just to have busywork for HR. The interviewer arrived a few minutes later and asked generic questions about retail experience and about working under deadlines and working with a team. Then she told me the interview paperwork would be reviewed and I'd get a call back in a couple of days if they had a position for me. The whole process took maybe 10 minutes at the most. I was almost certain there was no position to fill so I wasn't surprised when an hour or so later I got an autogenerated email saying I wasn't being offered the position.

I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Houston, TX)
Interview
It was short and only like 3 questions, it was quite undiffucult, but still really weird for an interview. There was the chance to ask about the position etc. But no information of the actual job from the interviewee.

I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Cincinnati, OH) in Nov 2025
Interview
Employee just pointed to a door to find manager. The interview was fine but I was told he would call the next day (that was 6 days ago). Afterwards I shopped in the store: interfaced with 5 different employees and NONE of them were helpful. I guess they only hire dummies…
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Mayfield, KY) in Nov 2025
Interview
The interview process was quite nice and refreshing compared to others that I've gone through. Felt like they actually wanted to hear about my life and experiences I've gone through.
