I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Mooresville, NC) in Apr 2023
Interview
Recruiter contacted me and scheduled an interview from a week later. It was a panel interview with BARS questions asking general questions regarding how to handle certain situations. Never heard back after.

Question 1
Name one time you had to take a coworker aside and give them criticism.
The interview process was pretty straight forward, recruiter called to screen then 2 supervisors conducted the interview on Teams. The process took a week to get a offer back to me.
The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement
Interview
The initial connection was great. The recruiter was prompt about setting up the interview and answered all my questions.
This position was brand new, so a lot of interviews were happening, and it took about a month to get a final set in stone interview. After preparing for about a week, during my interview the manager asked what I thought the scope of the position was, and it was completely different than what I had originally interviewed for. I was obviously flustered, as my prep was done for the original job. After the interview I reached out to tell the manager I felt I had done a poor job based on the change in job (I was never informed), and the response I got was okay. It then took another three weeks to be declined when clearly I was not going to get the position.
Ironically, for a position that deals specifically with talent acquisition, Lowe’s did a pretty terrible job of follow through. The manager seemed overwhelmed and as a manager of retail stores, I always promptly tell candidates when they don’t get the position (it’s literally a click of a button).
I’m disappointed in the way I was treated.
