Casual conversation with the store manager as a customer of the store lead to job offer as the store needed employees for the holidays. Only worked about three days in two (two days focused on training and one day of actual work).

I applied online. They reached out to me about a week later. I was called on the phone but missed it. They said to call back 3 days later since the manager was off. Instead I walked into the store. The manager greeted me then printed out my resume. He asked about my availability and why I wanted to work there. He then told me that they were doing interviews the following day. So I scheduled. I went in the next day and he brought me to the back room. Asked me about my work history and a few basic questions. I was hired on the spot. I accepted. I filled out a few basic new hire forms online and My hire date was 9 days after I accepted to work there. I’m still waiting to hear back from them. It’s now 3 days until my hire date so I’m confused why I haven’t heard anything back yet. I also got another job offer in the process of waiting on lucky and I had to decline since they wouldn’t work with my schedule of not being fully available. So hopefully I actually am hired and waiting this long is worth it. Also a quick few things. I was offered the job before I got to ask any questions. I felt a little rushed out of the interview after I accepted the job offer so I didn’t get to ask the questions I normally ask. I’m not entirely sure how many hours a week it is but seeing how long they are taking to hire me I’m sure it can’t be that many. I also heard that it’s a 75% off discount. Not sure if that’s only on selected items or if it includes clearance. Dress code he told me was none. The only thing that he said is that you have to layer clothing which I never do so I had to go buy a few open cardigans and kimonos to wear with t shirts and jeans. When it gets colder I would wear leather/suede jackets. He also said eventually I would have to buy a pair of lucky jeans which is fine if it’s 75% off. It would be like buying a pair of jeans at Forever 21 prices but the quality is better. Also each time I went into the store no one was shopping so hopefully that picks up during the holidays or it’s going to be boring to stand there all day. Good thing everyone I met so far seems nice. Other than that hopefully they get back to me soon or I will call the store.

A week after I sent in my resume, I called in to ask if I could come in for an interview. After looking up my application, they called me back within the hour to set an interview for the next day. When I went in the manager was busy helping customers, so they told me to choose looks for a man and woman going to the movies and dinner while I waited. I explained why I chose the outfits to the manager and then we sat down and talked. They asked some easy questions, just not really what I was expecting. Seemed liked the questions were more about my character and to see if my vibe would be a good fit for the store and the sales team. It was very casual. Got offered the job on the spot. The interview was fairly easy and quick, but waiting for my paperwork to get processed and waiting to be called back in for orientation took a really long time.
