I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Lucky Brand (Grand Rapids, MI) in Jul 2015
Interview
Got called in for an interview by a former employer, It was super fun and relaxed. I dressed semi casual. For people who are stuck on what to wear the way I was, If you decide to wear jeans try to make sure they have no holes in them and hide labels from other companies! The interview went well, sat down with a store manager and a store supervisor. One wrote things down while the other asked the questions, for those who aren't used to that...take time with wording, don't jump to answer just to be the first one if put in a group. composure is key. I got a higher offer than expected due to my artistic background. Mention how you would like to grow with the company and make sure you are available on weekends. (that's a huge plus to any store-availability. )
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If you have three customers in your area: customer #1 in the dressing room, customer #2 about to check out, and customer #3 who just walked in. who would you tend to first and why?
Casual and the interviewer was extremely kind and welcoming. Questions were fairly basic - tell me about yourself, strengths and weaknesses, etc. I thought that this interview was way less stress than other companies and the work environment was great!
Super easy and asked interesting questions. It was with the assistant manager of the store. Just prep interview questions and you will be fine. As long as you come off prepared and wiling to work you will be fine.
Conversational, made you feel at ease. Asked about yourself, your qualities and why you think you're a fit in this store. They look for sociable employees that are able to stay with their customers and provide constant attention, service, and style advice.
