Interview
Pretty standard FAANG interview process. Started with an initial call with the recruiter. The recruiter was professional and laid out the expectations of the interview process and discussed the compensation band.
First round was an initial technical screen - 90 mins, LC + SQL (Med). After the initial technical screen there was the onsite that had 4 rounds. 1. Technical screen, 2. Data Modelling, 3. Systems Design, 4. Hiring Manager. The onsite technical was harder than the screen technical. I would say it tended to be closer to LC Hard than LC Medium.
Overall, the process seemed to be very fair. The hiring manager was great - shared insights about the scope of the role and got me super excited for the opportunity. The recruiting team was very flexible in getting multiple rounds scheduled - the experience was frictionless.

Question 1
Standard hiring process. Technical was dsa & sql problems - very similar to what you find on LC but with some custom twists. Data Modelling was to model a use case to solve for a certain query pattern. Systems design tended towards designing a data platform. HM was more of a behavioral + experience + lyft values.

First recruiter screen then 4 interviews, starting with technical and progressing to system design interview, data modelling interview and engineering manager interview. Very professional and respectful. I reccomend you grind on Leetcode and other practice questions as the technical round goes heavy on this.

Too many detailed Interview steps (7 interviews, each 30-90 mins), and at the end, they didn't provide any feedback or response for about 4 weeks, even though I reached out multiple times, I didn't get any response back.
eventually they just sent me automated response that job is close. Later, I asked for any feedback for points I was failing, and again didn't get any response.
