I applied online. I interviewed at Lyft (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Applied for the User Experience Intern position online through jumpstart. A recruiter reached out to me several days later to confirm my interest and asked me to answer some specific questions related to UX research methodologies through e-mail. After this, she informed me that I would be getting a phone interview with a UX Researcher at Lyft. The interview was difficult. He asked case-related questions to test the way that I thought/my design process. He wanted to hear about specific methodologies and where I would apply them. I kind of fumbled out of nervousness so it didn't go that well for me.
Applied for the job and received an email from recruiter for initial screening after a few weeks. Then I received an online coding assessment after a few days, it could be done using any programming language of your choice.
Email screening questions, technical interview, and homework. Fairly good experience and quick follow ups from recruiter, homework was doable but didn't make it. Homework took appx. 10~12 hours. Technical was 1 hour.
There were two coding interviews, one after another, with 15 minutes in between. They asked for fairly simple algorithms and data structures but of course, you needed to optimize those by time and memory.
