My initial interview with the recruiter was short and to the point. I believe they effectively and efficiently went through their questions related to my experience and qualifications for the open role. I was immediately moved onto the next round with the hiring manager. The hiring manager was away so it took nearly 3 weeks to schedule the interview. In the hiring manger interview, I was asked an array of questions related to my experience as an IC and as a manager. To my knowledge, I relayed my experience well and much of my experience lined up with what the Lyra team was looking for. However, a few days later I got the dreaded, "we will not be moving forward email." I reached out to the recruiter for feedback on why I was not moved forward to the next round, however, they relayed they were unable to give feedback. I followed up again asking for more detailed feedback and all I was given was, "we moved forward with more qualified candidates." I later applied to another Group Manager role in CS and was immediately told they will not be moving forward with me, again, with no feedback. I found this extremely rude and really painful. I am a bit perplexed that a company making a major impact on mental health would take this position (of not helping qualified candidates improve). I don't believe their HR leadership has made the connection that not taking the time to relay helpful feedback (specifically when asked for) is extremely bad for an active job seekers mental health. I completely understand that recruiters and hiring managers are busy. I must note this. However, taking the time to relay 'we chose candidates with more experience in mental health' or 'we chose to move forward with internal candidates' takes only just a little more effort. A little bit more effort goes a long way to show you are looking to improve everyone's life/well being! I am disappointed in the actions of the two Lyra team members and Lyra HR's positioning on providing feedback to candidates. Due to their lack of support, I will not be applying to any future Lyra roles.
