I had a really negative phone screen with the recruiter. He was rude and would cut me off, talk over me, and criticize my answers. He kept telling me over and over that there would be no growth in this role and they wanted someone who would stay in this role for several years. Based on how the phone screen went I figured I would never hear from them again but I got a call about scheduling the next round of interviews. I returned the phone call and left a message with my name and number and never heard back from them.
