I applied online. I was then contacted via email by an MUFG recruiter as a follow up to my application. I received three emails that Monday morning for 3 separate companies asking for my availability that week. I provided all 3 with my availability. The MUFG recruiter was the last to respond and selected a time that was selected by another recruiter (that Wednesday). I let that MUFG recruiter know and gave him new times. He selected a time for Thursday morning. Unfortunately, my boss's boss's boss invited me to a meeting, which I could not skip for an interview, so I reached out to the recruiter and asked to reschedule. This started the weird interaction with him. He was clearly frustrated with having to reschedule, but I had a good reason. He responded with a very rude email, stating something to the effect that his time is valuable. He rescheduled for Friday afternoon, but then cancelled it outright saying they were moving in a different direction and no other explanation. To make matters worse, I get the sense that I have been blacklisted by that recruiter, because none of my applications are getting any traction now, even for roles where I meet and/or exceed all qualifications / requirements. I do have an ethnic sounding name, so perhaps race has something to do with it. I am not sure, it's just speculation, but since I have not been given any feedback, I am left with little else to conclude.
