I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mac Properties (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2013
Interview
I responded to an online ad and was called about a week later for an initial phone interview with the Operations Director. Phone interview went well and he stated that he would call me back in a few days to schedule an in-person interview. Unfortunately this gentleman was overwhelmed as I had to call him back twice before he was able to get an interview scheduled.
There were definite signs of not being real organized or not real coordinated since we agreed to a time of 11 am and he had put into his notes 10 am. The interview was very basic then a couple weeks after that I get a call from someone else at the same company saying they reviewed my resume and want to know if I would like to come in for an interview! I stated I was already in for an interview. After a couple more weeks I called back to follow up on the decision-making process and the gentleman that interviewed me stated he had told someone else in the office to let me know that they were moving forward with other candidates.
Additional notes are that in my multiple conversations with MAC I was told the pay range was $13-14/hr and first I was told the expected conversion rate was 30% then in the interview I was told that conversion rate should be 50%.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Mac Properties (Chicago, IL) in Jun 2016
Interview
The interview process was very intense with more than two people sitting in the conference room.
The interview is very open ended, with some direction given by each manager. You will know first hand if you are doing well or not. Some questions were out of the ordinary but it is to be expected.
