I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Macy's in Apr 2016
Interview
I was sent an email to schedule an interview for the shoe department for part time. I scheduled the interview and after 15 minutes waiting I went back with the manager. I'm pretty sure I waited longer for the interview than the time the interview actually took. The manager is apparently the manager of half a dozen different departments. That's a red flag! After asking every generic interview question in a bored, monotone voice she tells me the position is actually only open for the "flex" schedule. Basically it's on call 24/7. No set schedule at all! Now, this may work for some but most people can't be on call every single day. Another huge red flag was her dodging my question as to what daily life is in this position. "Every day is different" okay... So this "flex" position is literally rolling dice and hoping you get what you want or need. It was a waste of my time and frankly the only thing I can say is at least scheduling an interview was pretty easy. It was all downhill from there!
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) in Jun 2026
Interview
The first interview is on the HireVue website. I was asked 6 questions. I recorded my voice responses. Later, I was told I passed the first round via a phone call from a company that conducts the second interview process. I was asked 2 questions. The last interview is in-person.

How would you handle multiple tasks at once? (similar to this question)
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.
