I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Garden City, NY) in May 2016
Interview
I applied online and received an email a few days later to set up an interview. I arrived at the location and after ten minutes my interviewer brought me in to her office. She was very friendly and although it wasn't too informal, she made me feel comfortable. It didn't feel like she was asking questions from a page; she first asked Why Macy's but after that question we talked about my previous experience which led into tangents of other topics, very conversational overall. The whole process was about ten minutes and by the end of it she was discussing times and pay which made me assume I was hired. We then went back out into the lobby and the secretary took more of my information for a background check, so I was definitely hired. About a week later they contacted me saying that the background check was done and then we set up training days. Overall very enjoyable experience.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.
