Interview
I applied for Holiday Sales Associate position on the company website. About a week later I received an e mail to schedule an interview. You schedule the date and time of the interview online. I arrive at my interview 10 minutes early and I was seen at the time my interview was scheduled. The person I interviewed with was very nice and it was very relaxed. The question she asked were behavioral "Describe a time when...." and about how you would interact with a customer. After the questions she asked about my availability and told me that the person that was being interviewed was just offered the position I was interviewing for (I was upset) but she said that there was an On-Call position open and I accepted it because it allowed me to make my own schedule, which was great because I'm a college student. Overall everything went well and everyone was nice. I was scheduled for training after my interview was completed.
Was interviewed for a seasonal position. Was told they have no seasonal positions, once they found out I was a college student. Made no sense to me quickly ended the interview.
The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
