I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Macy's (Boston, MA) in Oct 2011
Interview
Well basicall I applied online and about three to days later I got a email for an interview.
I choose for my interview to be on that friday, I wore black pants a white shirt and black shoes.
With this being my first interview I was highly anxious, I arrived early in within 10 minutes of being there when interviewer called me into her office. It honestly wasn't that bad the interview was very easy going and relaxed, the questions where typical why Macy's? tell me about yourself? your previous job expriences? and more. Well after the interview was over she offered me a position has a support associate right on the spot!!
My advice to others is to relax, dress in black , smile, make contact and just be yourself.
Was interviewed for a seasonal position. Was told they have no seasonal positions, once they found out I was a college student. Made no sense to me quickly ended the interview.
The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
