I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (Eugene, OR) in Aug 2011
Interview
Interview was very professional. We had something in common so that made it easy for the ice breaker since I was nervous. She unofficially offered me the position, due to the fact someone was leaving and had not put her two weeks in. She said she'd give me a call on a specific day to follow up with me. A week had passed and she hadn't to back to meso I called her and left a message. She ended up going me the run around, saying she was on vacation and that she'd get back to me when she returned. She reassured me that she was still interested in hiring me but she never followed through. I never got any return call nor did I get an email back. Ended up getting a job as a front desk receptionist in a salon. Very disappointed.
Was interviewed for a seasonal position. Was told they have no seasonal positions, once they found out I was a college student. Made no sense to me quickly ended the interview.
The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
