I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (Sarasota, FL) in Apr 2013
Interview
Like every where else you must first upload all of your information online and create a profile. I applied to 3 positions , within an hour I received 2 emails that said "Unfortunately, we are unable to consider your application further for this opportunity. We invite you to continue to visit www.macysJOBS.com to discover and apply for new employment opportunities as they become available." two weeks later I received a voice mail in regards to the third position (management position) The next morning I spoke to her, she was busy and said she would call me back the following Monday at 11:00AM, (3 days later) I thought this is when she would call me back to set up an interview. Instead I was surprised with a preliminary phone interview that was about 35-40 min long. At the end she said she was just going to pass my information along to the next person and to expect a call within a couple of days......and nothing. its been 3 weeks and I have been to the HR department twice, they were very polite and professional but not helpful. they told me to check my emails and my profile i set up on their website to make sure I entered everything in correctly.

Very unorganized interview process, by the time they got back to me I already accepted another offer. I don’t even think they knew I was suppose to have an interview that day. Confusion from start to finish
