I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Macy's (Honolulu, HI) in Jun 2013
Interview
Arrived at the scheduled interview on time. Had to wait another 10-15 minutes before someone was available to interview me. The manager never introduced herself and asked me to follow her. I was lead to a small office where she proceeded to ask me about 6 questions. (Questions have been listed in other posts). After answering the questions and explaining my availability, the manager asked if I was able to open up my availability for the whole weekend because there would be a better possibility of being hired if I did that. I agreed to do that. She then asked me to wait so she could find another manager to do a second interview right then and there. I waited for about 3 minutes until she came back and said that she couldn't find anyone else. She said she would "bed" my application and have a manager call me back. I asked her if it would be within the week and she said someone would call me whenever there was an opening that matched my availability. She walked me out and didn't give me her card or information.

Question 1
Describe a time when you worked with someone that broke the rules. What did you do?
I was able to interview immediately upon walk in, after completing a written application. There was a small group of friendly and competent human resources staff available at the time.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (La Jolla, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
I started with a "virtual", interview that included recorded video questions. I went through all of the many required tests and online video recordings and received a phone call from a woman to come in the very next day for an interview.
Note: When I filled out the online application I checked the box that indicated I could work evenings and weekends.
The woman who greeted me acted like she was surprised that I could only work part time hours.
I stayed calm and polite, I smiled I made eye contact which she rarely returned and unfortunately, her disgruntled mood never improved. The interview was actually a big waste of time for both of us. If she did not like my recorded video interview or the fact that I just wanted to work part time, then why did she contact me for an interview?
