Basically, if you apply online you get called for an interview ALL THE TIME!!! So dont get your hopes up. Anywho, when I went online to apply, i recieved an email later that day asking to set an appointment time. i set it for the wednesday a week later but cancelled it once i heard this position is commision based with very low hourly wage. i wasnt interested anymore. but then, the friday after i cancelled the interview, i got a call that i didnt answer. they called again and i just answered. it was Macy's. she asked me to come in for an interview that Monday at 12:30. i did. Mind you I'm pregnant and the mall is across the street from my mom's house so we walked over and it's the middle of summer and i wore all black. Of course I was sweaty and tired. Once I got to the HR desk, the woman got my name and told me she MEANT to call me and that the interviewer for this department will not be in until 6:30 that evening. the first thing i thought of was dont tell me you meant to call when i'm already here. luckily,my mom lives across the street so it was no problem to come back. anyway, later at 6 i left out to get there by 6:15. I checked in and set down and waited to be called. Once I was called into the room, the interviewer did NOT have my resume and asked if I had retail experience under my belt. Obviously from my résumé I did not but they failed to look at it before obviously. The interviewer said I was what Macy's was looking or but because I lacked experience, the odds were against me. I just recieved an email saying they were not interested.
