I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Macy's (Garden City, NY) in Nov 2013
Interview
I applied on line it was a lengthy application. I received a response 30 minutes after I finished my application and interview appointment I got therec15 minutes earlier for 1145am. The Hiring and Training has a training going on I waited for an hour, the interviewer was nice and was suprised to see her reading the question from a sheet of paper and could not pronounce what she was reading it was ackward I have to ask her several times to repeat. The training and hiring is done in the same place it was unprofessional to hear other interviews by the way I was hired on the spot Sales Associate commission. Then I was to start training on Saturday 6-930pm and I got there 15 minutes early and it 2as busy there is Training going on I provided my driver's license and SS card and waited and finally at 730pm I was told to register on line and basically no one seemed interested in helping me when the computer started acting up a mature lady asked to use another computer by then it is 930 pm the store is closing. I was told to come back the same the nextday the same time. The simple training turn in to agony no available computer and had to wait and was told to call at 1pm to call Hiring/Training to make sure there is available computer I called and I was told to come in for the third time at 6pm. I got there and I was sort of scolded that Iam only allowed 2 day paid training and told the trainer not my fault she looked overwhelmed and busy. Finally finished the Computer Training but there is no available Registry so I need to come back again. In the mean time all the driving back and forth cost me gas money and precious time only to find out I got paid $ 23.97 for 3 hours of training.
I am writing this not get anyone get into trouble. I know its a holiday but Human Resources must hire real profesionals in hiring the new Sales Associates. I am extremely dissappointed with most of the Trainers or interviwers Macy's must retrain the traing and hiring staff. My apologies Iam typing this on my new tablet. Errors to be edified. Thanks

Question 1
No difficult questions for a successful sales professional Interviewer reading questionare real bad accents by interviewer was a torture
Easy and quick interview. I stepped into the office of the store, told them I was there for an interview, they were finishing up an interview with another potential candidate, and then moved on to me. The interview lasted about 15 minutes, and then they explained everything to me. I believe I signed the contract after the interview.

The interview was very easy, just 4 questions, the manager was so calm and kind, very fast and got the job! The problem was I had to wait like an hour but it was totally worth it!

Interview
30mins phone call interview and I get the job. It’s very easy because the interviewer just ask me basic question like how do I approach customers for sale? And give some specific examples
