Applied a week and a half ago, received an email request to schedule an interview the next day. Just had my interview today. Felt like it went really well, I was confident and gave thoughtful answers to questions (which were pretty basic questions: teamwork, customer service, etc). The interviewer informed me that they would be getting ahold of me shortly. About two hours after the interview I received an email saying that, "Unfortunately, my desired rate of compensation does not correspond with the hourly pay range available for the position". I fell that this is something that could have been negotiated in person or over the telephone. Must have been another issue, because that seems like a lame excuse. I have a college education, for goodness sakes!

Was interviewed for a seasonal position. Was told they have no seasonal positions, once they found out I was a college student. Made no sense to me quickly ended the interview.
The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
