Applied for the job online, got an email an hour later saying to schedule an interview online. I didn't respond immediately because I was waiting to hear back from another job. Macy's actually ended up calling me, and we set up our interview over the phone for next week.
I went in on the day they told me, and they didn't even know I was coming in since I scheduled my interview over the phone instead of using their online scheduler. So, I had to wait about 15 minutes for them to get ready. After waiting, they called me into the HR Manager's office and she then asked me a couple of basic interview questions. Some of the questions she asked was Why Macy's, name a time when you received excellent customer service, name a time when you succeeded as a team, any experience in sales, name a time when you saw someone being dishonest, how would you react to a situation where you have multiple projects to do at the same time, why should we hire you...there were probably some others I just can't remember. She then went into the job description and duties and then asked me if I had any questions. I asked her what the hours were, since the job was part time and she said 12-20 hours a week, I also asked how much was the pay, and she said they would not mention pay before they offer the job.
Anyways, she told me they were interviewing over candidates, and that they'd give me a call by the end of the week. The end of the week came, and they never called, so I called them. She told me they'd be following up via email (which I knew wasn't a good sign). Ended up getting an email that day saying they were no longer considering my application. Pretty disappointing since I have a degree in administration. Oh well, on to the next one.
