I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (Spokane, WA) in Sep 2010
Interview
I first went in for my interview and they essentially hired me on the spot. We then had a group training session. It was mostly watching videos about store policies, sexual harassment and security measures. After the group training I had to do individual training on a computer to learn how to use the computer system. It was long and tedious, but it was paid training! And it was very helpful in the long run. It was also very easy.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I always get caught off guard when they ask what I think some of my weaknesses are as far as work goes. I feel like its so easy to talk about the good qualities about yourself, and very hard to think about and talk about the bad qualities. So I would say that was probably the hardest or most unexpected question they asked me.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (New York, NY)
Interview
It was in person and lasted 20 minutes approximately. Before the int started I was asked to fill out a questionnaire. The question inclu questions about my education and prior retail sales jobs.
