I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (Los Angeles, CA) in Sep 2015
Interview
1. Applied online through their website, and got an interview invitation email the next day.
2. The email includes a link to access their Scheduling Center for available times and dates of the interview. Initially, the link didn't provide any available times and it said to just check back often in case anything opens up. I kept checking back within the day, but was able to get a slot the next day. Interview slot was for the next week. I suggest you keep checking back, 'cause these slots go out fast and the scheduling link is only available for 14 days. There's also an option to reschedule twice, but I highly discourage you from doing so as it's difficult to find the next available slots. You might end up repeating the entire employment process which is reallyyyyy looooong to be quite frank.
3. During the actual interview, I was made to wait for around 5 min. only (contrary to what others have previously stated here). I guess it depends on the availability of the interviewers. They then bring out a copy of your application so no need to bring a physical copy of your resume.
4. The interviewer was really nice and accommodating. It was just like having a normal conversation. They have a set of questions ready so I'm assuming it's the same for every applicant.
5. Within 20 min., I was in and out of their office.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.
