Interview
After a long process of three online tests and a data lab, I finally reached the AC round — where interviewers clearly judged candidates before the interview even started. During the interview, they ignored my explanations and repeatedly questioned my results without understanding them.
Some interviewers do not appear to understand even fundamental machine-learning concepts, yet they are responsible for evaluating candidates for a quantitative research role. The mismatch between the expected technical rigor and the actual interviewer expertise is extremely disappointing.
Firstly a 2.5 hours math test with standard questions in High school Mathematics Statistics Probability Linear regression. Then a 1 hour Codiloty test with three simple coding problems. Can choose any language. Then a 1.5 hour data/quant test with python/R/matlab. Finally a final round on site.
