Recruiter reached out had a positive experience and was informed hiring manager would be in touch in a few days. A week went by I emailed the resort follow up. Recruiter never contacted me back but that day I received a call from the hiring manager on their personal cell phone. I went in the following day and had a very positive interview and was told I should hear something by the end of the following week if not sooner. I followed up with the manager who said there were a few more interviews to go. The job posting was +30 days old. After another week I emailed the manager who didn’t respond and then followed up with the recruiter for some feedback on who could advise if a decision was made. Three days later I received an email that although I had impressive experience the position was given to an internal candidate. I was encouraged to apply in the future if another role was available. I emailed the hiring manager back thanked them for their time and wished the candidate selected great success in their new role.
