I applied in-person. I interviewed at MassMutual (Memphis, TN) in Sep 2014
Interview
Applied, interviewed, hired. Started the job the following week. As an administrative assistant rather than an agent as planned. Very comfortable atmosphere. Offered water to drink. Very polite, not too personal with the type of questions asked
Energetic. Turns out once I accepted the position and went to a week of training in Memphis, I moved across the country to start the position. The manager who hired me has decided to leave and not alert me. Once I was there, he said the job was no longer available because he was leaving at the end of the month.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard questions. Had to disclose specific quantities of products sold at previous company over previous 12 months.
The interview was a zoom call. The employer went over the general outline of the job and the opportunities for growth. It seemed like they would give most people a shot at the job since it was all commission based.
Summer of my junior year of college talked to one of the branch managers at Metro New York office. Played it off as an internship but it was all very disorganized and ending up becoming a life insurance agent. I should have done more research on my own but beware of what you’re getting yourself into.
