I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MassMutual (Denver, CO) in Mar 2015
Interview
I had five interviews with Mass Mutual. The first was with a recruiter and a team leader and the following three were with a supervisor who would be my boss, all of which went pretty well. I had completed the personality test, submitted a sheet of leads and was interested in the position, then I had meeting with another, higher ranking, supervisor. The supervisor who conducted my final interview was extremely rude, short tempered and condescending. The Supervisor would interrupt me while I was answering questions, while also demanding answers to questions he just asked, without giving me time to answer the questions. After the final interview, I felt insulted and I decided to not accept the position.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at MassMutual (Austin, TX) in Apr 2026
Interview
Recruiter reached out and only gave pros. When I dug deeper to get further detail he didn't know concrete info. Felt more like a desperate way to try to recruit due to a high turnover rate.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at MassMutual in Oct 2025
Interview
I was referred by a recruiter to interview with a financial advisor for an in-office role. During the interview, several red flags came up. They asked about my citizenship, and when I said I am American, they implied that could not be true because of my last name. Later, after I mentioned that I speak another language, they said, “That’s great, we’ve been aiming to target that community,” which deeply disturbed me.
Pretty straight foward super friendly
Very nice went through behavioral questions a few technical and mainly talk about your background and why you’re a good role good fit. Overall, positive experience, super friendly showed enthusiasm.
