The interview process was very positive. I was given a timeframe to complete a demonstration lesson in literacy. Following, the demo lesson I met with the classroom teacher and two administrators who discussed the pros and cons of my lesson. They also asked questions regarding my behavior management plans, how I went about planing for lessons, and how I accommodate diverse learners. The interview took about an hour in total.

This organization receives many applications for each position. Preference seems to be given to TFA and promoting from within. Making face-to-face contact first and perhaps starting as a substitute seemed to help others get a full time position. The interview process was thorough and fair. There is a scripted process they must go through, including the demonstration lesson. It seems that by the time you get to the demo lesson they have a good idea of if they are going to hire you or not.
