This was the longest interview process I have ever been through. I applied in July, was interviewed every week through August, and finally got the results/rejection in September. Went through 4 skype phone screens and a 4-round on-location interview. The phone screens were all very professional and the interviewers were very nice and pleasant. You could definitely tell that they love what they do. The interview was pretty typical, yet very warm and friendly. Asked abut my past work experience and a little about what I like to do outside of work. Scheduling the on-location interviews were where things got a little annoying. I was in the process of relocating to Los Angeles, so I had to schedule a flight to come down to get to the office in El Segundo. The recruiter was aware of this and he gave me a list of days and times to pick from. After agreeing to the day for the on-site interviews, he later got back to me a few days later and said they would have to push the interviews back a whole week do to the panel's schedule not aligning up. I agreed to the new day and time, but then a week later, RIGHT before I scheduled my flight I got an email saying they needed to reschedule again. I said ok and finally after, waiting over a week for the final confirmed interview schedule, I was finally able to book my flight for the panel interviews. They went really well and I really liked all the people... and then two weeks went by with NO update. I sent an email to the recruiter for an update. No response. I then finally called the recruiter directly for an update, which went straight to voicemail. I left a voicemail asking for an update and then IMMEDIATELY after I left the voicemail, the recruiter finally emailed me back saying that I was "overqualified" for the role and they went with someone else. A 2-month long interview process with multiple delays only to be told I was "overqualified" for the role. Huge waste of time. Disappointing, because I really wanted to work for this company.
