I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Mattel (El Segundo, CA) in Aug 2018
Interview
The recruiter was very unprofessional, he scheduled a phone interview on his day off when he was outside galavanting - no resume in front of him or anything, I guess he was like, "Bro, I'm gonna wing it." I could hear that he was walking or driving with wind in his background, so obviously no notes would be taken. He paused when he heard my voice and from that point he had no interest in asking any real screening questions - I am an African American woman. I am pretty sure that he knows nothing about technology because he kept saying that he didn't "see" on my resume where I worked on digital projects....? I asked him what "digital" items was he referring to? And everything he mentioned WAS on my resume, which he had no respect of my time to review and schedule a real time to speak with me. I never heard back from him after two emails, but he cowardly, marked me as no longer under consideration after the second email on the job portal without a response. His LinkedIn says he just started, they should send surveys to people he has interacted with.
